Yirga Cheffe has a deep connection with coffee production. In this region, coffee is brewed in a traditional clay pot called a jebena, which is filled with water and coffee grounds placed over a fire. The coffee is brewed slowly, creating a strong and flavorful brew.
The coffee is then served in small cups called finas, made of clay or porcelain. They are often decorated with traditional Ethiopian symbols and served with salty snacks such as popcorn or peanuts.
